Why Should I Audition To Be A Part Of BYT?
Bluffton Youth Theatre, since it's beginning in 2015, has worked hard to be more than just a theatre company. At BYT, we focus on building each cast and crew member's skills as well as teach each person to encourage and support one another. Because we want each child to grow, we give everyone who auditions a part in our musical!
We also have a main goal of being a totally inclusive theatre. We believe that every child can shine in the performing arts regardless of their physical or mental challenges.
Do you want more information on our goals and mission? Click either of the two buttons below!
How Do I Prepare?
Each child must come to auditions with a monologue about a paragraph in length. These can be found throughout Google by searching "Child Audition Monologues" or you can use a monologue from another musical or movie!
They must also prepare about a minute of a song (A Capella). Make sure that the song fully shows the child's ability and range.
*The song does not need to be from Elf the Musical Jr., but if you can find one then that would be great!*
Also, please bring the following forms filled out to the audition, unless you were already in a performance from this theatrical year (Mary Poppins or Shrek)!
Not interested in acting?
Join our crew! Just like our cast, crew members are youth, ages 5 - 17.
If your child would like to be part of our crew, email Jennifer Ford at byt.blufftonsc@gmail.com for more information!
