Ages 7yrs and up

The children are rising up to teach grown-ups a lesson! Are you going to join the rebellion as a part of Matilda the Musical Jr?

*The junior version is an hour length version of the full Matilda musical*

Tuition

$525* for a four-week performance camp, a role in Matilda the Musical JR, and a Matilda t-shirt. 

If enough interest arises, we will also hire a videographer to do a professional taping of Matilda that will be available for purchase for $25. If you are interested, please note it on the Additional Purchases Order Form.

*$25 registration fee is also required if this is your first show of the year. Registration fee lasts 1 calendar year.

*All payments made by credit card will also have a 2.9% processing fee

Dates and Times

Camp (July 10th - July 28th) Monday - Friday from 10am - 4pm

Dress Rehearsals (July 31st and August 1st) Monday and Tuesday from 10am - 4pm

Performances (August 2nd - August 6th) Wednesday - Sunday: Exact Times TBA

Early Registration Deadline: Monday, March 13th 2023 by 5pm (No exceptions)

If all requirements are sent by the Early Registration deadline you are securing your child's spot at camp and will also get a $20 discount on your tuition (per child in family).

*Please note all forms must be received by no later than 5pm. If any forms are missing or incomplete by the deadline, you will not be qualified for the discount.

Final Registration Deadline: Friday, May 19th 2023 by 5pm

NO refunds will be issued after the final registration date.

If you are paid in full and cannot participate before the final deadline, send an email stating the withdrawal reason and a tuition (minus $50) refund may be issued.

Extended Deadline Information: If all spots are not filled after final registration, admittance may be granted to those registering late. However a $20 late fee will be added to your tuition.

Attendance

Dress rehearsals and performances are mandatory. If your child cannot attend any day between July 31st and August 6th, they cannot attend camp.

For camp dates, any non-sick or non-emergency absences must be communicated at time of registration by email to info@blufftonyouththeatre.org. Depending on the amount of days being missed, we may ask you to remove your child from the audition list. 

Early Drop Off/Late Pick Up

If enough interest arises, we will open the camp early and stay open late. An additional $10/hr per child will be added to your tuition. Please note your interest on the Early Drop Off/Late Pick Up form and submit it with your other forms. 

Payment is due 1 week after invoice is received.

There will be no refunds for this fee even if your child does not come on the days indicated.

Auditions

When all requirements are emailed and payment in full is received, campers can pick up
a hard copy of the script from The Bridge Event Venue (at designated times). They will also
receive a link, via email, that will lead them to an audition sign up and all the vocal and rehearsal tracks.

Everyone  will receive a part in the show, but auditions are still required  either in person or through video in order to attend camp.

In Person Auditions

If a participant would like a speaking or solo part, they must audition in person.

Auditions will be held Monday - Wednesday, May 22nd - 24th in designated time slots.

*Link to sign up for auditions will be emailed once all registration requirements have been sent and all payments received

Video Auditions

If a participant does not want a speaking or solo part then they may choose to send a video audition in instead of auditioning in person. 

All video auditions must be emailed no later than May 25th at 5pm.

Registration Deadlines

*Payment and forms are both due by the deadline in order to be registered

*It may take 3 - 5 days to receive invoice after signing up for camp.

If payment is not received by one week after invoice received, then registration is null and void and no discounts will be applied.

Sign Up Requirements

*If signing up for multiple camps, only one set of requirements is required

The following forms must be filled out in order for your child to participate in the camp: registration form, size chart, signed photo release, signed parent contracts (one for each parent on registration), signed child contract (one for each child attending), and additional purchases sheet.

All payment and forms are due one week after receiving an invoice.

If payment and requirements are not received by the one week deadline, then registration is null and void.

Each family is also required to have at least one guardian attend a parent meeting via Zoom. 

New Participants Meeting: May 15th OR May 16th from 6pm - 7:30pm

Returning Participants Meeting: May 17th OR May 18th from 6pm - 7pm

*Failure to attend a parent meeting will result in your child being removed from the program

Each participant must also fill out an about me form to be used for their spot in the playbill

Please fill out the following form and use it to write a short paragraph for your child's bio in the playbill!
